haha you guys are a riot. PC dude my whole life. Made the switch and was petrified, it was like getting a divorce! I consulted with all my friends and was torn. What to do?!?! Finally I did it and bought the macbook pro and it was one of the best decisions I have made. Made my life so much simpler.

Thanks for sharing this. Im staying classy!

well, I like the enthusiasm and the conviction in the decision . . . but, it is ok to say that it is OLD news?? Mac has kicked arse for a while!! Good work though putting it out there that it really shouldn't even be a debate.

Way to go guys!

PC user for 15 years and was afraid to even try it. Bought an imac last year just to see what all the fuzz was about. It took me a good 30 days to get use to it and since then I'm a MAC all the way. I love the interface, simplicity, elegance etc. I bought Macbook Pro and Macbook's for the family and we are loving it!

I'm a graphics trainer for a large corporation responsible for training and developing produciton procedures on all the big Adobe graphics apps...Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, plus other non-Adobe apps. The corporation made the decision a long time ago to go PC. I have to say I am not only extremely proficient with these apps, I'm also at a very high geek level with the PC...but...
At home I have 3 computers...they are all MACs!!!

When I was launching my company a couple years ago I was thinking business=PC even though I really wanted Macs instead. Fortunately for me I invited a guy in a similar business over for dinner, fed him some of my wife's fabulous lasagna, and he highly recommended I go with Macs for my business.

I'm SO glad I listened to him! With Microsoft Office for Mac I've never even needed to install Windows on any of my machines.

MAC VS. PC........Its like PC bringing a knife to a gun fight. The only people still "debating" are PC users who refuse to be enlightened.
Its like me arguing with an astronaut about what it feels like in space.....Duh! Hes an astronaut, he KNOWS. Same thing. MAC users KNOW, because we were once PC users also. Yes MACs are more expensive, but they run better and last longer. Cars that run better and last longer are typically more expensive also. Going MAC is like a religious experience. NO one can force you, you just have to find your own way.

For years I wondered my PCs owned the market, then I realized PCs dominated the "business" market - meaning people in offices. Most of these folks are tools who still double-click on a hyperlink. No wonder they couldn't appreciate the elegance of the Mac platform.

However - as a Mac user since 1984 - the 90s were really rough for Mac and it was pretty weak. Since Jobs came back, and especially since an Intel architecture and fully overhauled Mac OS, can run multiple OS, etc. Mac is definitely tops.

With a PC, you have a PC. With a Mac, you have a Mac and a PC. 2 for 1 - where's the debate?

I've been using a pc for about 20 years, and I am still using one, but only when I have to (some software at work only works with IE7).

I made the switch apx 6 years ago, and I will never go back. Two different worlds, I have never had a mac crash during the six years. And guess how many times my pc has crashed? Probably about once a week :)
