Love today's Vlog and I totally agree with you. I prefer to mail out to people but a common objection I receive is people are OK with giving an email for updates but they do not like to give out mailing address details. Do you feel the "mailed" newsletter is more for previous purchasers or is there a way to "break the ice" with new contacts to gain their trust and receive their address?

Highest Regards,

Joanne

Joanne, it's a great question. Really, the newsletter is for past and current customers, influencers, referral partners, etc. But, we have found that getting the mailing address is a piece of cake...as long as you're offering something in exchange that needs to be mailed. If you offer an email newsletter, then ask for a mailing address...it no make no sense...

Completely agree! One question: Would can you tell me the pro's/ con's of sending the newsletter as a marketing tool to prospects?

As always, another great topic today.

Is it more effective to send the newsletter as a self-mailer (where you can see part of the article on the back cover) or would it be better to mail it in a hand-addressed envelope? Any experience with what works better?
