It's interesting that you bring up time. I learned a lot attending a Tony Robbin's Seminar - but the one thing that stuck with me was when he said that 'the only thing constant in everyone's life is time.'

From Bill Gates to Thomas Edison to Henry Ford - there were always the same amount of hours in a day. Why then, can they accomplish so much?!

Zero procrastination. They lay out a plan and stick to it.

Thanks for the videos. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff on GotBiz.tv.

As a well known multi multi multi-millionaire (who's name escapes me) once said; 'you've gotta get off the couch'. It's doing the easiest thing, which is usually parking the butt, that slows us down and many people just come to a halt never to move again... that inertia thing again.

I don't have the luxury of being able to stop as we're 2 months behind on the mortgage and I refuse to end up a statistic in the 'crapper section' for my sake and for the sake of my kids (they're the kids in the photos on my 'website' with my wife). So I was up all night rethinking and reinventing my business, which, surprise surprise, isn't taking off on its own but which needs nurturing and developing to find a message that resonates with the right people.

The point of this, (at last you say), is that many many months ago you offered your subscribers two things around the same time. One was an intro to a company who'd give me a nice website for $10,000 - nice, but I was already running out of money (hence the hopeless homemade effort I have now), and second you offered a free press release service through PR Newswire for those who got off their butts to ask for it. I think you later commented, in disbelief, that from your list of 75,000 :o) only 2 people thought a press release, and your offer, was worth anything. I was one of the two! Do I still qualify as I now know what my pitch is and as we're fully operational and in need...? Could you swing it for me?

P.S. It's not all bad news; at least the boat's paid for!

> How do you avoid or deal with procrastination?

I used to procrastinate all the time, but I've changed a lot over the last few years.

I think my procrastination was just a form of fear. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of change, fear of living, fear of everything.

After I cleared the fear away, taking action just came naturally.

What's helped me more than anything is creating a vision ... a vision that's so much larger than me I can't help but get excited about it.

And I check the vision before I do anything. It keeps me focused on the important tasks rather than just the busy tasks.

I used to push, push, push to get anything done, but now it just flows naturally. I get so much more done and it's great.

Inspired action rocks! You guys rock! We all rock! lol

Great post Roy. That big vision thing you've got going there is a new one on me and I've been around... If you make the vision big and detailed it'll be in your face when you need it and will work to overcome inertia and will mean stuff will get done. Your post should inspire some people and make a difference. Nice one.

And of course you're right about another thing; this thread was about how to avoid or deal with procrastination - and totally the wrong place for my story to be aired... And I missed a comma after 'crapper section', damn. In the bowl it goes then!
