It's important to think of social media as a backyard bar-b-q. You say and do what you'd do as a guest at someone's house.

I doubt anyone's first words to someone at a bar-b-q would be, "That's a stupid premise."

An entertaining 5 minutes of video. I'm looking forward to having you guys on a guest on the Best Practices call next week.

Happy 4th of July.

A little over the top, but you make a great point. I call people like this Dweebos, because they don't understand and they violate the very purpose of Twitter and all social media (add to this group the Twitter spammers). Keep up the good work (even though orange has been MY brand color for over 20 years!).

Check out @followermonitor, sent me the following message today : @RatedGRomance @GaryLoper is no longer following you.

When I looked at their Twitter page, there were tons of these messages. Do not know what their intent is by telling someone that they are no longer being followed~especially when I was not following Rated G until this message. Perhaps a reverse Vulcan/Jedi mind meld tactic.

What is truly disturbing is the photo used as their avatar! This photo was horrible back during the Vietnam era and even more disturbing now. Sick.

Love your segments, learning while LMAO

I LOVE YOU TWO! Y'all never cease to crack me up while still talking about relevant material! (Btw, Jimmy - love the BFL pose!)

My fav about social media jerks? The raving fans who step in whenever the jerk raises his ugly head. Here's my story:

I blogged several years ago about having money jars throughout your house. Clear, glass jars in each room of your house with cash money ($10s, $20s, $100s, even loose change) so that, regardless of what room you were in, you couldn't possibly think about scarcity because you were always looking at money.

Someone commented on the blog and said, "I can't believe people still buy this kind of bs."

Here's the good part - BEFORE I could respond to the comment, another of my loyal fans stepped in and said (I'm paraphrasing, of course), "Hang on there brother. I did this and went from not having two nickels to rub together to being able to take my wife on a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. I wouldn't have been able to give her that special day if it weren't for Rachel's tip on the money jars. Next time, try it before you say anything."

Best thing about social media jerks is that there's usually at least one fan who'll step in and set em straight!

Keep up the great videos and have a safe and Happy 4th!

I prefer the OVERT jerk over the COVERT jerk that always has a pitch at the end of his "social" behavior. The overt jerk is easier to ignore.

Jimmy, loved the dash of "The Macho Man" impersonation.

Another great topic, guys. I love WTF!

People that spend time trashing other people have way too much time on their hands ... because they're not busy. Hmmm ... could there be a correlation? lol

Great story, Rachel. Thanks for sharing it.

I think Roy make a great point, too much time on their hands! I am yet to meet a person who's every word is spot on, but I am way too busy to ridicule anyone, unless of coarse they shoot something directly at me. They I would crash the 22" pythons down on them, stand over the top of them and say WHEW. Or maybe pull out the clippers and give them a new hair-do, OH YEAH BABY...(Love it)

Thanks for sharing up such an important point in a refreshing way! Humor has a way of bringing people together... and you two do a terrific job.

While I'm not one to focus on negativity, it's definitely worthwhile to define what's "acceptable" out there in social media. It's amazing to think that people would waste their time sending out negative messages that backfire instead of projecting the best within themselves. Gary & Rachel, thanks for sharing your stories.

Jim & Travis, I love your way of teaching. Bring it on!
